Insider Trading

What is it? Stock transaction by an officer or director of the company whose stock is being traded, or by any individual or entity holding 10 percent or more of any class of the companys shares. Types of insider trading activity include planned sale, sale, buy, and exercise of options. Insider trading is not a technical indicator, but can be of interest to investors (as well as to the SEC) because of the specialized knowledge insiders have about their companys prospects.
